Active Transport is one of the key behaviours that contributes to the overall physical activity levels of Australia’s children and young people. It involves little to no financial cost and can be easily incorporated into daily schedules.
The Active Transportation in Schools programme is designed to encourage children to adopt an active means of transportation to school.
Healthy Living NT is currently working on scoping plans to determine the possibility of implementing such a programme across various locations including Palmerston Katherine and Alice Springs.
